We’re slowly getting casting announcements for James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DCEU starting with the Creature Commandos cast!

Set to be the first animated series to helm the new DCEU Creature Commandos has just found its cast. Of course, it wouldn’t be a James Gunn production without Sean Gunn who will be returning as Weasel and will also be voicing G.I. Robot. However, joining him will be Frank Grillo as Rick Flagg Sr, David Harbour as Eric Frankenstein, Maria Bakalova as Princess Illana Rostovic, Zoe Chao playing Nina Mazursky, Indira Varma as The Bride,  Alan Tudyk as Doctor Phosphorous, and Steve Agee returning to play John Economos.

The team works much like another familiar team, The Suicide Squad, as they work for Amanda Waller. It’s unclear if she will be making an appearance in this series or not with John Economos helming the team. However, with Waller returning in her own series I’d bet it’s likely we get to see at least a glimpse of her in the project.

It comes as no surprise the cast list for this animated series is so stacked due to Gunn discussing how the animated shows will also be brought to real life as well. One thing the DCEU will do is cross characters into live-action from their animated shows and films which is a unique play.

While we have our cast listings not much else is known as of yet about the series. If you’d like to become familiar with who this team is we recommend diving into stories such as Weird Stories #93 where the team made their comic debut. They’ve also made other appearances such as in Flashpoint.
