Deadpool 3: Marvel FINALLY confirms the return of two key cast members
After months of speculation, Marvel has finally confirmed the returns of two key characters from the Deadpool franchise for Deadpool 3!
On April 12, Deadline and other trades revealed that Ryan Reynolds is going forward with Maximum effort and getting the band back together for Wade Wilson’s MCU debut by bringing in some notable faces from prior Deadpool films.
Morena Baccarin will reprise the role of Wade Wilson’s love interest, Vanessa, while Stefan Kapicic will also be back in action as the X-Men’s resident powerhouse, Colossus.
Other notable cast mates from the past two Deadpool films set to return are Karan Soni as Dopinder and Leslie Uggams as Blind Al. As of this article being written, it should be known that there is no word on whether Josh Brolin and Zazie Beetz will reprise their respective roles as Cable and Domino. It’s also still unclear whether Brianna Hildebrand is returning as Negasonic Teenage Warhead for Deadpool 3.
Rounding out the cast is Hugh Jackman sharpening his claws once again as Wolverine. New franchise recruits include Emma Corrin, believed to be playing the villain, and Matthew Macfadyen, whose role is being kept under wraps.
As of now, no plot details have been revealed besides from a teaser trailer featuring Reynolds and Jackman from last year on Sept. 28 that this film will take place before the events of Logan, which took place in the year 2029, which saw the death of Jackman as the character. During the teaser, both Reynolds and Jackman confirmed that this film would take place before the events of Logan.

Shawn Levy is on board to direct, with Paul Wernick & Rhett Reese returning to pen the script along with Zeb Wells. Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin wrote a previous draft. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige will join Reynolds and Levy as producers.
Deadpool 3 is slated for a theatrical release on Nov. 8, 2024
