Among the many names in the mix is actor Timothee Chalamet, who we have to say definitely would be an incredible selection for the part!

Has Timothee Chalamet expressed interest in appearing in a Marvel movie?

While most actors dream of landing a role in a superhero project, especially one from Marvel, Timothee Chalamet appears to be a rare exception.

Although Chalamet has never directly turned down a Marvel role — at least that we know of — he has made it clear that one of the most treasured pieces of advice he ever received included a tip not to join a superhero franchise.

In a Time cover story, Chalamet revealed the one piece of acting advice given to him by one of his personal heroes that has helped him navigate his stardom:

"“One of my heroes — I can’t say who or he’d kick my a** — he put his arm around me the first night we met and gave me some advice,” Chalamet revealed. “‘No hard drugs — and no superhero movies.’”"

Considering the advice resonated with Chalamet so much that he chose to share it in a Time profile exploring his career, it seems like Chalamet took it to heart.

This could mean that Chalamet will avoid joining any type of superhero movie, be it a Marvel or DC project. He’s avoided them so far, so there’s no telling whether he might ever change his mind and consider joining the MCU. If he does, there is definitely an argument for why he’d be perfect as Cyclops!
