8. Avengers: Age of Ultron

Avengers: Age of Ultron is another rough one, although it has big repercussions for Tony Stark and Iron Man that leads to the big showdown with Captain America and the gang in Captain America: Civil War.

In the movie, Tony Stark uses Loki’s scepter to bring his Ultron defense system to life. It works a little too well, and Ultron becomes sentient and makes its mission to wipe out humanity. Tony rallies the Avengers and pretty much anyone with powers to come together to stop Ultron before it’s too late and Earth is destroyed.

Ultron nearly defeats the heroes, but they are able to thwart Ultron’s plan at the last moment and at a great cost to civilization.

Age of Ultron, in my opinion, is one of the weaker Marvel movies to date. There are just some big flaws with Ultron, the story, and the overall vibe. Age of Ultron is the second of the four Avengers movies, and it’s easily the worst of the bunch. The Avengers, Infinity War, and Endgame are much better and feature much better versions of Tony Stark, too.

Up next is the final movie of the Iron Man trilogy.
