4. Joe Manganiello

Joe Manganiello’s portrayal of Deathstroke in the DC Extended Universe was a truly standout performance that left audiences wanting more. Unfortunately, due to various issues behind the scenes, we never got to see the character fully realized his full potential — which is a real shame, as Manganiello’s performance had the potential to be a breakout role in the DCEU.

From his first appearance in the post-credit scene of Justice League, Manganiello’s Deathstroke exuded a commanding presence and an air of danger that immediately captivated audiences. Fans were so excited to see what could be coming for the character and to get to see Manganiello take on the character in the DCEU.

Instead, DC fumbled the ball and failed to ever deliver upon the cameo by never utilizing Manganiello in a larger role which is such a shame. Manganiello’s performance as the character may have been brief, but it was undoubtedly memorable, and it’s a shame that we never got to see his take on the character in an expanded role.

Now that DC is under leadership perhaps the likes of Peter Safran and James Gunn might finally right the wrongs of the past by bringing him back into the fold be it as Deathstroke or another character, as it’s truly shocking Manganiello hasn’t been locked down for a superhero role — I mean just look at the dude.
