Is The Flash good?: Everything you need to know
Michael Keaton steals the show
The internet is raving about Michael Keaton’s return as Batman. Honestly, are you surprised?! Fans have been eager to see the veteran Dark Knight don the cape and cowl once again, and by the sounds of the early reaction, he exceeded expectations.
POC Culture refers to Keaton’s return as being simply “PERFECT”, while Busch says that she didn’t realize how much she “needed Keaton’s Batman” in her life again until watching The Flash. Forbes’ Jeff Conway adds that he is “superb” playing the role again.
Keaton famously played Bruce Wayne and his heroic alter-ego in 1989’s Batman. He would reprise the role in 1992’s Batman Returns. It’s amazing to hear that, after 30 years, he’s still got it.
It sounds like The Dark Knight returns in a huge way!
Believe the Hype
The Flash has been rumored to have an internal reputation as one of the greatest superhero movies ever made, and initial reactions are suggesting that this is indeed the case.
JoBlo.com told fans to “believe the hype” because The Flash is “truly one of the great superhero movies”.
Forbes’ Jeff Conway calls it “brilliant” and he also praises it for being the “most vibrant superhero movie” he has ever seen.
Meanwhile, Fandango’s Erik Davis believes that it is “without a doubt among the best superhero films ever made”, adding that it had him in tears. Scott Menzel agrees, calling it “one of the best superhero movies of all time”, as well as “the ultimate moviegoing experience”.
It sounds like we had better prepare ourselves for one of the biggest and best superheroes of all time. Given that The Flash has been in the works for almost a decade, that’s good very news for the fans who are eagerly awaiting its arrival.
