Nicole Kang

Do you know who would make a brilliant Poison Ivy in the DC Universe? An actress who has already taken on the role in a very small way!

If there is one thing we truly loved about Batwoman while it was on The CW, it would have to be the fact that it gave us Nicole Kang in the role of Mary Hamilton. Kang was a perfect foil to both versions of Batwoman (her step-sister and the Ryan Wilder version) and when she finds herself transformed into a meta-human with the same powers as Poison Ivy, we get to see how the character was able to embrace not only a touch of darkness but also the ability to use plants against people.

Nicole Kang may not have been Batwoman‘s Poison Ivy, as that honor went to Bridget Regan’s character, the fact that she had the same gifts, even for a limited time, gave us a taste of what the actress could bring to the role. There was something seductive about Kang’s take on the character and she brought a sassiness that is hard to resist. Honestly, we could easily see the actress bringing her version of Poison Ivy to the big screen.

The fact that Nicole Kang is 29 years old also means that she is young enough that we can see her bringing the character to life on the big screen for years to come and also old enough to bring maturity to the role. We can easily someone who is almost 30 as a disillusioned biochemist and botanist with anger issues and a desire to take on the world with their plant powers.
