5 actors we want to see play Swamp Thing in the DC Universe

The DCU is getting a makeover courtesy of James Gunn and Peter Safran and that means a possible reboot for characters like Swamp Thing. Here are 5 actors we’d like to see play him.

While we recently had a Swamp Thing reboot, it was mired in issues, including shakeups with the platform where it was meant to air and creative differences that led to the series being canceled a week after it premiered.

Honestly, the reboot had a lot going for it and could have been a great way to introduce this character to a wider audience. However, the abrupt cancellation definitely left it with very little love from audiences. (It’s hard to even want to watch a show that you know won’t be back for a second season, especially when it was apparently set up to give us three seasons.)

As a fan of Swamp Thing (the comics, the 1990 series, and of course the 2019 reboot), this is one character we’d absolutely want to see the DC Universe adapt and show some love to. And that means finding actors who would make a great Swamp Thing/Alec Holland.

So who would be a great fit as the new DC Universe Swamp Thing? Which actors would be a great fit as not only a scientist but also a plant-like entity with meta-human powers? Who could bring the character of Alec Holland to life on the big screen?
