KJ Apa

Thanks to his role as Archie Andrews on The CW’s Riverdale, we already know that KJ Apa can not only handle being a leading man, but he also knows how to bring a comic book character to life with style. While one might think that Apa would be more of a rom-com lead over a comic book superhero, the reality is that he has been able to embrace the bizarre with a poise and sense of humor that is hard to ignore.

If you have ever watched Riverdale, then you already know that there are some truly out there storylines. And yet, it is clear that KJ Apa can handle the weird and wacky, while still bringing a seriousness to the role of Archie. The fact that he has also channeled a war veteran and a businessman means that we could easily see him stepping into the role of an intergalactic police officer.

As the Green Lantern, we can see Apa taking on any number of roles, including that of Hal Jordan. It just feels like the actor has what it takes to make us believe that he was once an Airforce pilot turned superhero with the powers of the Green Lantern. And while he may not have been an alien or even dealt with them on Riverdale, we could see him handling the weirdness of an extraterrestrial giving him the powers of a superhero and ultimately joining forces with others with similar gifts and abilities.

The fact that KJ Apa is in his mid-20s also means that he could play the character for years to come and truly grow with the DC Universe. And maybe it’s just me, but this would definitely great thing for us to see when it comes to a character (or characters) like the Green Lantern.
