John Harlan Kim

There are some actors who really stand out in the roles that they take. And one actor who has stood out in every role is John Harlan Kim.

Whether we were watching him in The Librarians, on Nancy Drew, or as a rookie firefighter on 9-1-1, the actor has repeatedly showcased a talent for drawing our eyes. He has been an FBI agent, a thief and hacker, and of course a firefighter. We have seen him take on demanding roles and still show us both a seriousness and a sense of humor that allowed us to believe that he could fall into any role.

Kim has that hint of mischief to his acting that we think the Green Lantern needs. While we want the DC Universe to really take the source material seriously, we also want them to remember that there is humor to comics. And having an actor who can be both serious and humorous is very important to the role of the Green Lantern.

Considering there are different Green Lanterns in the comics, we could see John Harlan Kim taking on any number of roles within the Corps. Whether he is Hal Jordan Green Lantern, Kyle Rayner, or any of the other members of the Corps, there is something about the actor that just feels right for this DC property.
