5. Alex R. Hibbert

You may not know the name yet, but Alex R. Hibbert is quickly becoming one of Hollywood’s most promising young actors. He’s already had some standout performances in critically acclaimed projects like Moonlight, and he found a role on The Chi. With his talent and range, I’m declaring this young actor to be on the shortlist of all fan cast for the role of one of our most beloved DC heroes.

Hibbert’s past roles show that he has the emotional depth and authenticity needed to pull off the coming-of-age story that Static Shock would require. He played a young boy growing up in a difficult environment in Moonlight, and a teen navigating the challenges of life in Chicago’s south side in The Chi. These experiences parallel those of Virgil Hawkins, aka Static Shock, who is a teenager growing up in a tough part of Dakota City.

Hibbert’s acting skills aside, his youthful appearance and energy would make him an ideal choice for the role. As fans eagerly await news of a live-action Static Shock movie, it’s exciting to imagine Hibbert bringing the beloved character to life on the big screen. With his impressive resume and proven ability to handle complex roles, Hibbert would undoubtedly make a memorable Static Shock.
