6. Rahul Kohli

The Scarecrow has a recurring presence in the animated series Harley Quinn. The show, which originally streamed on the DC Universe service before its move to HBO Max from its third season onwards, is know for its unique and eccentric interpretations of DC characters and the Scarecrow is no different.

Voiced by Rahul Kohli (known for The Haunting of Bly Manor and Midnight Mass fame), this iteration joins the Legion of Doom, along with the Joker and the titular villainess of the series, to battle the Justice League.

Although Kohli brings some very skilled voice-acting to this interpretation, this version of the master of fear doesn’t quite hold his own, especially when compared to other more iconic iterations, which is why he ranks the lowest of the Scarecrows on this list. Unfortunately, this version sees what should have been an iconic DC Comics villain reduced to little more than comic relief and a mere minion of both the Joker and the Legion of Doom.

In fact, the series sees the Joker kill Scarecrow for unmasking Batman and ruining the mystery for the Clown Prince of Crime, bringing this lacklustre interpretation of the villain to an anticlimactic end.
