7. Avengers: Age of Ultron
Avengers: Age of Ultron is the second of the Avengers movies. It was released in theaters in 2015. Unfortunately, Avengers: Age of Ultron is just not as good as the other Avengers movies, and it’s definitely on the lower tier of the MCU movies.
Despite it being a bit lower on the list, Natasha Romanoff has a huge role in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Johansson delivers an incredibly strong performance in the film. And, like the rest of the Avengers, her character, also known as Black Widow, works with the rest of the team to stop Ultron and his team of robots after it goes rogue.
Age of Ultron also reveals more about Natasha Romanoff’s past, which sets the stage for many big things that happen in Black Widow. We see a more vulnerable side to Black Widow, and Johansson’s performance in the movie is as good as ever. I feel like the writing really let Black Widow down in a lot of these moments, like the ones she has with Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) about her forced sterilization. It just feels like her story was too one-dimensional in Age of Ultron when there’s so much more going on in her story.
Black Widow was released after Avengers: Endgame. It’s also next on the ranking of the best Scarlett Johansson Marvel movies. Let’s get to Black Widow!
