3. Avengers: Infinity War
Avengers: Infinity War premiered in theaters in 2018, one year before Avengers: Endgame. The movie is considered to be one of the best MCU movies to date, and it features, in my opinion, one of the most devastating endings of the MCU so far.
In Avengers: Infinity War, the goal for Natasha Romanoff and the Avengers is to stop Thanos and his army from acquiring all six of the Infinity Stones. Most of Black Widow’s part of the story revolves around protecting Vision, along with Captain America, Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier, Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch, and the Wakandans. Watching the Avengers align with the Wakandans during the battle is one of my favorite parts of Infinity War, and Black Widow plays a huge role in that battle.
Unfortunately, we know that Infinity War ends with Black Widow and the Avengers failing, Thanos acquiring the Infinity Stones, and using them to cause the Blip, which wipes out half of life on Earth and the galaxy. It sets the stage for Natasha’s final sacrifice for her friends, team, and the world in Avengers: Endgame.
Up next is Captain America: The Winter Soldier!
