4. Jamie Dornan

While many names have been thrown around, there’s one guy who would kill it as Lex Luthor, Jamie Dornan. Yes, you read that right – the same Jamie Dornan who made hearts flutter as Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades of Grey franchise. But hear us out – Dornan has the chops to play a compelling Lex Luthor, and here’s why.

There’s something very Michael Rosenbaum about the prospect of Dornan playing Lex. He’d capture all the greatness that Rosenbaum exuded in Smallville, while bringing a fresh take on the character.

First of all, he’s no stranger to playing complex, layered characters. As Christian Grey, he had to navigate a troubled past, emotional scars, and an unconventional romantic relationship. These are all traits that could be translated to a character like Lex, who is driven by his own personal demons and motivations.

Secondly, Dornan has already shown he can play a villainous role. In the TV series The Fall, he played a serial killer named Paul Spector, who was intelligent, manipulative, and downright terrifying. This performance alone should be enough to convince anyone that he has what it takes to portray Lex Luthor.

Perhaps most importantly, Dornan has already shaved his head for a role in the past, which is a big part of Lex’s signature look. This means he’s already got a head start (pun intended) on getting into character.
