Who are the best Spider-Man villains in all of his solo movies? Here they are ranked from best to worst.

As great as Spider-Man is, it helps that he has a host of villains that contribute to making him one of the best heroes ever. It’s funny because a case can be made that some of the villains in the movies are better than the ones in the comics. This is an edge that movies sometimes have over comic books.

The creative team can see what doesn’t work in the comics and change it for the films. Plus, the movies are modernized. Just because something works in the source material doesn’t mean it’ll translate well into film. These advantages are why Spidey’s movie enemies stand out. Although not all of them are good.

Looking back at the eight Spider-Man movies, it’s easy to separate the good from the bad. The third Spidey movie is among the worst comic book movies ever. Part of what made it so bad was the villains. Three super-powered antagonists in an already jumbled movie didn’t make it unwatchable. On the flip side, the first movie did a much better job with one supervillain going up against Spider-Man.

Coming up are the 12 best villains in Spider-Man movies. Things that will be taken into account are their performances, their influence on Peter and Spidey’s life, and how memorable they are. Let’s begin.
