Use the classic movies

Like it was mentioned above, Hadouken is an iconic video game sound and move, but it doesn’t stop there. Guile’s Flash Kick, Chun Li’s Lightning Kick, and Ken’s flaming Dragon Punch have become something video game fans love. All of which were either poorly done or non-existent in the other live-action films.

Is it cheesy to yell out “SONIC BOOM” while throwing an energy attack? It certainly is, but that’s part of the game’s charm and something fans want to see. Ryu doesn’t have to throw a dozen fireballs, but one good one would be nice. Hopefully, there will even be a Shinku Hadoken.

Focus on the fighting

The name of the video game and the movie is Street Fighter. So why haven’t we seen more fights? People watch King Kong and Godzilla movies to see monsters beat each other up. John Wick’s innovative attacks helped make that franchise one of the most popular action flicks of all time. Street Fighter needs more fighting. Especially since it can lead to the story.

For example, Ryu and Sagat’s rivalry is a storyline that could drive a plot. Scarring Sagat (who was once the greatest fighter in the world) jumpstarted Ryu’s career. This doesn’t happen without the two fighting.
