Who would make the perfect Booster Gold in the DC Universe? And what do they need to have to be a scene stealer?
We know that there have been talks about a DC Universe series revolving around the superhero, Booster Gold. And with the way things are going in the new DCU, it is entirely possible that we could see a movie about the hero. But which actor could step into that role?
For anyone unfamiliar with who Booster Gold is in the comics, he is also known as Michael Jon Carter. In the comics, he is a superhero from the future who uses his knowledge of events to showboat and show off his heroics. However, over time he truly grows into a more well-rounded individual.
While there are tragedies in his life and he has grown as a person, he struggles to be taken seriously as he is haunted by the things he did that helped to make a name for himself. Honestly, he is the embodiment of comic book superheroes in a lot of ways, from the tragedies to the costume. He is what I pictured as a comic book superhero as a kid.
And when it comes to finding an actor who can embody the role of Booster Gold, we need someone who can be both a show-off and a man weighed down by his decisions. We need someone who has a real presence on the screen and wouldn’t be lost in a scene.
Considering Booster Gold was at one point using his knowledge of the past to gain fame and notoriety, we need an actor we can believe did this and then grew from those actions. And if there is one physical characteristic of the character that we really want to see, it’s a blonde. Because in the comics, Carter’s hair is blonde like spun gold. It almost makes sense that gold would be in his hero name just because of his hair.
