Haunted Mansion is easily one of the biggest and most highly anticipated movies of the summer. The movie features an incredible cast led by LaKeith Stanfield. The film is a remake of 2003 movie of the same name which starred Eddie Murphy. It’s also based on the classic Disney World ride.
The new movie comes from Justin Simien, the creator of Dear White People, and tells the story of a family, Gabby (Rosario Dawson) and her son, played by Chase W. Dillon, who moves into — get this!– a haunted mansion. They hire a paranormal investigator of sorts, played by LaKeith Stanfield, to rid the home of the ghosts that haunt the place. Well, the ghosts don’t like that very much.
Haunted Mansion will be a big hit for Disney this summer. There’s a lot to like about this movie. It’s a fun premise with a great creative team behind the movie with Simien directing and the screenplay from Katie Dippold, who also wrote The Heat and Ghostbusters (2016). There are so many big names involved in this project, too. It has an excellent cast. If you like haunted house movies with a fun Disney twist, Haunted Mansion is the movie for you!
