10. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

  • Release Date: June 9, 2023
  • Director: Steven Caple Jr.
  • Cast: Anthony Ramos, Dominique Fishback, Luna Lauren Vélez, Tobe Nwigwe, Colman Domingo, and more

Another Transformers movie? You’re absolutely right! Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is the seventh movie of the Transformers franchise, and this one is going back in time a little bit.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is set in 1994 and follows two archaeologists from Brooklyn, Noah (Anthony Ramos) and Elena (Dominque Fishback), as they are swept in battles between the Autobots, Terrorcons, and Maximals with Unicron (Colman Domingo), an ancient and powerful being that is the master of the Terrorcons.

Sign me up for this one! The Transformers movies are great summer blockbusters for action movie fans. While some of the Transformers movies have been misses and the franchise has veered in a totally different direction than the Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox Transformers movie, there’s something about these movies that just connects and resonates with fans.

As of right now, we don’t know what the future looks like for the Transformers franchise, but I think it’s pretty clear it’s here to stay.
