5. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

  • Release Date: May 5, 2023
  • Director: James Gunn
  • Cast: Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Will Poulter, Sean Gunn, Chukwudi Iwuji, Linda Cardellini, Nathan Fillion, and Sylvester Stallone

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 premiered in theaters on May 5, 2023. Officially, the newest movie of the Marvel Cinematic Universe kicks off the beginning of the summer movies lineup. Welcome to summer!

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is the third movie of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, and it continues after the events of the second film. In the movie, the Guardians of the Galaxy are attacked by Adam Warlock (Will Poulter), who was teased in Vol. 2. After one of the Guardians is injured in the battle, the rest of the team tries to get them the help they need before it’s too late.

Unfortunately, this is the end of the line for many of these great characters. While it hasn’t been officially confirmed and things could change, it appears that this will be the final movie of the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy with James Gunn, the writer and director of all three movies, heading to DC. We could still see some of these characters in other MCU movies, and I expect we will, but I’m not going to say who and spoil everything for you yet.
