4. Mitsuri Kanroji (The Love Hashira)

At first glance, Mitsuri Kanroji doesn’t look like a warrior. She’s a bubbly individual, lives a carefree life, and doesn’t seem to have a serious bone in her body. But beyond the surface, Mitsuri, the Love Hashira, is a person any demon should be terrified to spar against.

In the Swordsmith Village Arc, we observed Misturi use her skills to slice through her opponents. Her love breathing talent empowers her to destroy anything in her path, while her uniquely crafted sword aids in executing the action without breaking a sweat.

Mitsuri may be a fantastic swordsman, able (and willing) to cut her foes down, but her true strength lies in her passion to fight for others who cannot fight for themselves. Granted, caring for others is a requirement for all Hashira to have. Yet, when it comes to Mitsuri’s zeal for the lives of others, she is simply a sight to behold, especially since her caring nature gives her the drive to be the best version of herself that she can be.

We’ll see more of The Love Hashira’s prowess in the soon-coming episodes. But if what we’ve seen thus far is only a sliver of her potential, we can say with a fair amount of certainty that she is amongst the few Hashira who can successfully put up a good fight against the strongest of Upper-Rank demons.

What The Love Hashira Needs to Work On: In a way, Misturi is Shinobu’s opposite in that she needs to work on her inner confidence rather than her physical strength.

Mitsuri didn’t have the happiest experiences growing up and her trauma set her back a few paces. Nevertheless, if she continues to channel her pain into power (and stop holding herself back), we know she can make it to the top of the list.
