2. Muichiro Tokito (The Mist Hashira)

Muichiro Tokito is the youngest Hashira of the current group (aged 14), and yet, his age doesn’t reflect his physical fortitude in the slightest.

A powerhouse on the battlefield, Muichiro excels on all fronts. We see this when he fights against Gyokko, an Upper-Rank demon with tons of tricks up his sleeves that would make even the mightiest of demon slayers stumble.

During his fight against Muzan’s loyal subject, Gyokko threw the needles laced with poison at the members of the Swordsmith Village. But The Mist Hashira, in all his agility, quickly threw himself in front of the villagers to take the damage for them. Muichiro didn’t flinch at such a task nor succumb to the pain and poison, proving that he is as dependable as he is enduring.

Outside of fighting strong demons, Muichiro even fights the lesser (but still challenging) enemies with barely a lift of a finger. He sliced through Gyokko’s deadly creatures with ease after figuring out where their weak spots were. And even with him being preoccupied with smaller enemies, he was still thinking of a way to get back to the main village to fight off the four-in-one demon, Hantegu, showing that Muichiro can handle multiple stressors simultaneously.

With all his abilities, The Mist Hashira can only get stronger as time goes on. So much so that we can only imagine how he’ll rampage through his enemies when he’s twice his current age.

What The Mist Hashira Needs to Work On: Like many, we’ve noticed that Muichiro’s mind is a mess. Suffering from severe memory loss, the Mist Hashira can’t give it his all, as his constant flare-ups sometimes work against him. Though he can’t command himself to retrieve his memories, we can only hope that when (or if) he does, his regained memories prove to be a blessing rather than a curse.
