The Flash season 9 returns to The CW with its twelfth episode. Here’s how you can watch the show’s penultimate episode, “A New World, Part Three” online. 

This Wednesday, the second-last episode of The Flash airs on The CW. The long-running Arrowverse series is preparing to bow out next week, but before it does, it will air its penultimate episode on the network this week in what will undoubtedly be a compelling hour of television.

The show’s final graphic novel storyline, titled “A New World”, has seen the Negative Speed Force target Barry Allen and his family and friends in a mission of revenge. One way it hopes to do that is by selecting a new avatar, who can harness the power of the dark dimension and take on the Scarlet Speedster in the same way that Eobard Thawne, a.k.a. the Reverse-Flash, had done for so many years.

Last week’s episode saw the return of Eddie Thawne, who was now named Macolm Gilmore. He doesn’t know how he ended up in his new life and as his memories of his life as Eddie (which were portrayed in The Flash‘s first season) have come flooding back to him. And the presence of red lightning around him suggests that he could be the Negative Speed Force’s next avatar. Yes, it seems like Cobalt Blue is finally coming after all these years.
