"“Avengers…Assemble!” – Steve Rogers"
In this writer’s opinion, Avengers: Infinity War was the best movie Marvel Studios has produced. One of the reasons for that was how effectively it made us watch all of the heroes lose. It wasn’t just a loss that could be easily fixed either. They were defeated in spectacular fashion. Half of the universe was dusted away with the snap of Thanos’ fingers. Fans knew that things would go back to normal in the next Avengers movie, but that meant the follow-up had to be worth the year-long wait. Thankfully it was.
Avengers: Endgame started with an emotional story between Nebula and Tony Stark and kept hitting fans in the heart. Everything from “I Love You 3000” to Thor’s depression to Hawkeye losing his family were all deep emotional moments that fans remember years later. When it was time to fix the universe, the heroes stepped up in a big way. They defeated the villain in an epic and unforgettable battle.
Avengers: Endgame perfectly ended the era of the original Avengers team. Steve Rogers went back in time and lived the life with Peggy Carter that he always wanted, Thor left Earth to become a Guardian of the Galaxy for a short time and, of course, there was the unfortunate passing of Tony Stark. Seeing Iron Man dying to save the universe from Thanos was a real tear-jerking moment.
