The show premiered on our screens back in 2014. It wasn’t the first time that we saw Grant Gustin’s adorkable Barry Allen, as he had debuted the year prior on parent series Arrow, but it was an indication of how popular he had proven to be with fans, because the network scrapped a planned backdoor pilot and ordered a standalone pilot instead.
