The X-Men comics have a colorful palette of characters that have yet to grace the silver screen. Here are some X-Men that should be in the MCU.

We have seen the likes of Professor Xavier, Wolverine, Storm, Cyclops, Jean Grey/Phoenix, Rogue, and many of the main lineup of the X-Men appear on our screens throughout the 20th Century Fox X-Men film series. However, after years of speculation, it seems that the mutants are coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

If, or when, that happens, we will likely see some fresh faces in both characters and actors (and perhaps some of the original Fox actors giving a final performance in their respective roles).

The X-Men comics have a wide variety of characters who have yet to grace the silver screen. Here are five X-Men that should make their cinematic debuts in the MCU.

1. Armor/Hisaki Ichiki – Played by Asahina Aya

Armor is a fantastic character with an intriguing backstory and power set. She can create a powerful psionic exoskeleton body armor. While in this form, she is granted super strength and unleashing psionic blasts of energy, making her both helpful as a defense and offense teammate. Armor’s powers are tied to her bloodline and grow stronger whenever a relative dies.

Her connections with Kitty Pryde/Shadowcat and Wolverine would make introducing her to the MCU’s mutants storyline easier.

Japanese actress Asahina Aya would be a fantastic choice to bring Armor, also of Japanese descent, to life. Her role as Hikari/Kuina in the Netflix series Alice in Borderland proves she’s got the charisma, attitude, and fighting skills to take on this role.
