Back to the Future is an iconic franchise with some amazing movies, but which of the three films is the best? 

Over three films, we followed the exploits of Marty McFly and Doctor Emmett Brown through time via a time machine made from a DeLorean. They have become staples of pop culture.

The 1980s were a very special time for movies. Special effects were starting to catch up with the storytelling and the big screen was flooded with movies like Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Ghostbusters, Goonies, and even TRON. They dazzled and amazed the audiences that paid their hard-earned money to see them.

That’s where Back to the Future comes in. Showing us the past, the future, and what can happen when you mess with time, for good or for bad. Michael J Fox became a huge star of the decade, from Family Ties, Casualties of War, and The Secret of My Success.

For generations to come, the DeLorean will be a symbol of time travel and part of the lexicon forever. So, which of the three films from the franchise is the best? Let’s find out as we rank the three Back to the Future films, from worst to best!
