At the end of the previous episode of Gotham Knights, The Court of Owls captured Turner Hayes after he and Duela infiltrated the Court’s get-together and stole their map to Electrum. Of course, the heroes weren’t going to let that stand.

Unfortunately, while the Gotham Knights are figuring out how to save their friend, Turner is in the clutches of the Court. More importantly, he was with Lincoln March.

After Lincoln reveals himself to Turner, he stabs Turner with the Talon’s blade. Lincoln didn’t do it just to hurt him. It also injected Turner with a drug that made him hallucinate. The effects were similar to what happened to Bruce in Batman: The Court of Owls.

If the creative team behind Gotham Knights wanted to throw the fans a curveball, make Turner a member of the Court of Owls. The obvious move would be for him to rejoin his team and fight back. However, how great would it be if he didn’t? Turner isn’t a character in DC Comics (not yet at least). That gives the Gotham Knights creative team the freedom to do whatever they want with him without backlash from comic book fans. Going against the norm would also go a long way to possibly getting a second and third season.

Once again, Olivia Rose Keegan steals the show as Duela. She showed a range of emotions in one episode and portrayed them all well. Seeing her use one of Joker’s moves (grenade in the trenchcoat) was a nice touch too. Fans can assume that she’ll eventually become more good than evil and keep her edge. Nevertheless, the process of it happening has been fun to watch. Hopefully, Duela remains just as good as we near the season finale.
