10. Rene Ramirez

In season five, Rene Ramirez was one of the recruits that really stood out from the pack because of his outspokenness and his ability to engage the people around him. And while he has had his ups and downs, much like other members of Team Arrow, he is still a grounded character who offers the series a much-needed look at what you can become if you work hard and find a sense of purpose and focus.

From the person who actually snitched on Oliver Queen to becoming the Mayor of the Glades, Rene Ramirez is a fascinating character. And a lot of the fascination comes from the fact that he really is as hard-headed as Oliver himself.

I think the thing that makes Rene the character that he is, is the fact that he is a single father. Here is a man who has no choice but to be strong and independent. And when it comes to being a part of a team, that took a lot of convincing.

However, once Rene did become a part of the team, he did his part to be an asset to Team Arrow. Even with his confrontational nature, he is still a character who does his part to help protect the city and the people he cares about, making him an asset to Arrow, and of course, it also makes him a worthy individual to work alongside Oliver.
