5 actors we want to see play Robin in The Batman 2

After the success of AppleTV+’s Ted Lasso, it’s Toheeb Jimoh’s time to shine and I cannot wait to see what he does next. The 26-year-old actor is best known for portraying Sam Obisanya in the beloved comedy, which he received an Emmy nomination for. He also appeared in the Amazon Prime Video series The Power and The Feed, as well as Acorn TV’s London Kills.

Ted Lasso was certainly Jimoh’s breakout role, and he needs to follow it up with another career-defining part. With his comedic acting talent and ability to play a character who’s innocent and sweet, he could really lean into the lighthearted side of Robin. And I desperately want to see him dive into a darker role after Ted Lasso! This DC character could be the best of both worlds.

If The Batman 2 does end up casting a Robin, the actor will have to have clear chemistry with Robert Pattinson. Batman and Robin’s relationship has been explored in various ways throughout the comics and adaptations, but at its heart Batman has served as a father figure and mentor to Robin. We’d be super curious to see how Reeves might interpret their dynamic, if we do end up getting it in his sequel.
