7. Halle Bailey

After showcasing not only her singing chops but also her ability to lead a major motion picture, Halle Bailey deserves to step into the MCU! Not only can she lead a Disney movie, but she can do it in a way that is scene-stealing. After all, her Ariel in The Little Mermaid live-action Disney movie was next level. (Seriously, she was transcendent on the big screen.)

Considering that this particular character is a powerful and fierce leader in her own right, it makes sense that we would want an actress who has proven that she can handle any adversity and still shine. And we definitely think that Halle is the perfect person to step into this role for so many reasons.

We could easily see the actress stepping into the role of any of the X-Men, but in this case, it just feels like Kitty Pryde is the perfect choice for her. Not only is she a strong character, but she’s also a leader. And over the course of the comics, she goes through a lot of growth and changes that we would want to see brought to life on our screens. And in order to do that, we need an actress who can embody the many aspects of this particular mutant.

Halle Bailey definitely feels like a perfect fit for both the MCU and the X-Men. And we would love to see her step into the role of Shadowcat.
