X-Men: 7 actresses we want to see play Shadowcat in the MCU

1. Camila Mendes

If you have ever watched even a single episode of Riverdale, then you will absolutely recognize Camila Mendes. In the series, she portrays the character of Veronica Lodge, a romantic interest of Archie Andrews and a leading character in the town of Riverdale. The character is extremely ambitious and ingenious, often at the center of multiple storylines. Over the course of the TV series, we see her take on any number of roles, including being a popular girl in high school, a teacher, and a businesswoman. Basically, she is a leader and one we can’t help but want to follow.

And every bit of the role of Veronica is something we would want to see in the actress taking on the role of Kitty Pryde. Therefore, it just makes sense that Camila Mendes would be the perfect choice for the MCU’s Shadowcat.

Not only has Mendes already brought a comic book character to life at this point, but she has also given us a well-rounded character that we believe in. And that is what we want. We want an actress to take on the role of Shadowcat who already knows how to bring multiple layers to a comic-based character.

We could absolutely see Camila Mendes portraying a superhero with special abilities. And we can believe that she has what it takes to not only be a leader of the X-Men but also lead an entire franchise. While that doesn’t mean that Shadowcat will ever be on the level of Wolverine or Deadpool with their own movies, we could see it happening and if it does we want someone who is a scene stealer and a leader. And that is exactly what we think we would have with Mendes.

There are any number of actresses who could potentially bring to life Shadowcat for the MCU, but perhaps one of our picks will end up being the chosen one.
