2. Transformers

For over a decade, Transformers was the best movie of the franchise, and it wasn’t particularly close. Transformers premiered in 2007, and it was the first movie that sparked a billion-dollar franchise.

In Transformers, we’re introduced to our favorite robot heroes of this story: Optimus Prime and the Autobots. We meet them through Sam Witwicky (Shia LeBeouf), a seemingly normal teenager, who learns his yellow Camaro is actually an Autobot named Bumblebee, which leads Sam into the war between the Autobots and the Decepticons. In the movie, Sam helps Optimus Prime and the Autobots stop Megatron and the Decepticons from obtaining the AllSpark, which would allow them to destroy and/or control the universe.

There’s so much to like about this movie! It was amazing to see all the Transformers on screen together, and there are some really good performances in this movie, too. If not for the recently released Bumblebee, Transformers would be the franchise’s best movie so far.
