1. Bumblebee

Bumblebee is hands down the best Transformers movie so far, and it’s honestly not even close. I’m a fan of Transformers (2007), but there were some pretty clear flaws with the movie and its story. That’s not the case with Bumblebee.

Bumblee is the sixth movie of the Transformers franchise, and it’s a prequel to the first Transformers movie. It’s set in the 1980s and follows Bumblebee’s origin of sorts on Earth after fleeing Cybertron. On Earth, Bumblebee befriends Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld), and they work together to keep Bumblebee safe against a group of Decepticons who have located Bumblebee on Earth.

I don’t think it can be overstated how important the success of Bumblebee was for the Transformers franchise. As a prequel, it really pressed the reset button on the whole franchise, and it stopped a streak of four not-so-good Transformers movies in a row.

If you gave up on the Transformers movies after Revenge of the Fallen, Dark of the Moon, Age of Extinction, and/or, gulp, The Lost Knight, Bumblebee is a great way to get back into the franchise.
