Superman and Lois season 3 usually airs new episodes on Tuesday nights on The CW, but can DC fans expect a new one tonight?

Superman and Lois lives to fight another day (or year). The CW has renewed the beloved DC TV program for a fourth season. It will be slightly shorter than its third season, coming in at just 10 episodes, but after the months of uncertainty regarding its fate, you can bet fans are thrilled at the result.

But there are still some episodes of that third season left to air. It is getting ready to wrap up its 13-episodes season 3 run, but there are two more left. The next one of those will introduce Lex Luthor (Michael Cudlitz) to the fray, so to say fans are ready for it would be an understatement.

But can audiences expect a new episode to air tonight, Tuesday June 13, on The CW?

Is Superman and Lois new tonight, June 13?

Unfortunately, Superman and Lois won’t be airing a new episode tonight. The CW series has taken the last of its one-week hiatuses, meaning that a rerun will air in its place this Tuesday night.

While this season is the first of the show not to be affected by pandemic-related production shutdowns (which resulted in lengthy hiatuses), it did take a few one-week breaks instead. This week’s one is the last of them, so when it returns to air the penultimate episode of season 3, it will air the season finale the week after that.

When does Superman and Lois return to The CW?

Superman and Lois will be back with a brand new episode on The CW next week, Tuesday June 20, at 8:00 p.m. ET. Titled “Injustice”, it will see the debut of Michael Cudlitz as Lex Luthor as the infamous Superman villain is released from prison upon the revelation that Bruno and Peia Mannheim framed him for the crimes of which he was found guilty 20 years prior.
