The Predator will finally fight a Marvel Comics hero and he’s set to battle Wolverine.
Many people may not know this, but the Predator is part of the Marvel Comics universe. When Disney acquired the rights to 20th Century Fox, the Predator franchise came with it. A couple of years after that, Marvel Comics created variant covers with the Yautja (Predators) battling various Marvel Comics characters. This was a brilliant way to announce to the world that one of the most recognizable characters in movies was under their umbrella.
On those covers, the Predator was going up against Spider-Man, Captain America, and the X-Men. Speaking of the X-Men, the Yautja are finally fighting a popular Marvel Comics superhero and it’ll be a good one. The Predator is going up against the best there is at what he does. Unfortunately, what he does isn’t very nice. That’s right, Marvel.com announced the mini-series Predator vs. Wolverine!
Marvel Comics not only picked the right person to fight the Predator, they picked the perfect writer as well. Since taking over Logan related titles after Dawn of X, Benjamin Percy has become one of the best Wolverine writers of the past 20 years. Considering the people who came before him, that’s high praise. He’s made Logan more smarter, more ruthless, and determined than ever.
It makes it even better that he’s excited about the project. When asked his feelings about the title, he told Marvel,
"“I’m not going to say I was born to write this crossover… but sometimes the universe reveals why you were created. I am a child of the eighties. I cannot tell you how many times I watched Predator, just as I cannot tell you how many Wolverine comics I have read, because that would be like telling you how many breaths I’ve taken or cheeseburgers I’ve eaten.”"
The fights between the Predator and Wolverine will begin all the way back when Logan was with Weapon X and later when he was in Madripoor. Readers can expect each of the Predators to adjust to Logan’s fighting style and claws. However, Logan probably won’t remember their first few battles. People like Romulus and Charles Xavier were messing with his memory throughout the years. Whether or not Logan remembers their battles, each of them will be full of green blood, growls, and brutal attacks.

The four part Predator vs. Wolverine mini series is scheduled to debut on September 20. 2023.
