1. The Scarlet Witch (Wandavision, Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness)

Surprise! Unless you know me personally, then it is most definitely not a surprise.

While the enchanting Wanda Maximoff, brought to life by Elizabeth Olsen, remains one of Marvel’s most captivating creations, it seems the MCU may have cast the wrong spell this time. Our favorite sorceress’s turn to the dark side in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness comes off as an inevitable twist and an incredible way to show just how much of a monster the Scarlet Witch can really be.

Sure, the direction in which Wanda’s character arc was thrown does not fit well with how Wandavision ended whatsoever, and having said that, I will now leave it be.

When we first meet Wanda in Captain America: Civil War, we saw glimpses of her power and potential. Fast forwarding to Infinity War, we get to see just how powerful she really is. Let’s not forget that she alone held off Thanos (yes, the purple guy in the previous slide) while destroying the Mind Stone on Vision’s head and crying because she’s killing the man she loves to save the entire freaking universe.

In Endgame, she comes face to face with Thanos once more. This time, he has to engage the heavy guns from his ship in order to stop her from absolutely destroying him absolutely alone.

What do you suppose happens when this supreme being switches sides of the narrative? Say what you will about Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, but one thing I absolutely love about it is that Sam Raimi showed us, in horror-movie style, just how screwed everyone would be if Scarlet Witch had been a villain all along. Nobody can stop her – not even Charles Xavier himself – except herself, as we see in the movie.

Also, I have red hair, I am a twin mom, and I also wear my heart on my sleeve, so I completely relate to her struggles. Minus the Chaos Magic. That’d be so cool.
