4. Hobie Brown (Spider-Punk)

"“Taking a crap in the establishment, I salute you.” – Hobie Brown"

Hobie Brown’s entire look was eye-catching and perfectly reflected the era his universe was in. Big locked hair, piercings, tattoos, a guitar that came with powers, and he wore a spiked jean vest. If that wasn’t cool enough, his animation continuously changed. It made him the most noticeable being in the movie. Not a single person in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse looked as dynamic as he did.

A look isn’t enough to get someone in the top five. On top of his flamboyant look, Hobie was a funny character who hid his caring side with cynicism. He could act like he didn’t care but went out of his way to help Gwen. Not just by giving her a bracelet at the end of the movie. He joined her team to save Miles. He would also talk about anti-establishment but work with the Spider Society. However, it was for a good cause: He was saving the multi-verse.

In short, Hobie was a complex character. Nothing about him was what it appeared. An anarchist who tried to stop anarchy that hurt innocent people. Daniel Kaluuya was the perfect person to voice him. Hopefully, Hobie’s origin was portrayed in Across the Spider-Verse so fans can see him star in a solo movie.
