3 Superman and Lois characters who definitely won’t be back in season 4

Onomatopoeia / Peia Mannheim

Superman and Lois‘ adaptation of Onomatopoeia was a completely different character to the one in the comics, as the show revealed that she was the wife of Bruno Mannheim with a super-powered sonic scream (much like the Black Canary). She was also battling cancer, which drove Bruno to do whatever he could to save her. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t possible.

Peia was initially cured by her husband in the third season’s eleventh episode, but it soon left her powers magnified to such an extent that not even she could control them. In the end, Superman took her up into the sky so that she could let out one last scream, before passing away in his arms.

Peia was an excellent addition to Superman and Lois season 3, with her friendship with Lois Lane being a real highlight of the show, but her untimely death obviously rules her out of season 4. She wasn’t a series regular, but she sure as heck felt like one, becoming one of the best aspects of the show in its third season.

We’ll definitely miss seeing her on the show and hope that she will return one day via a flashback or another super-inspired way.
