When we look at actresses who could potentially play the part of superheroes of the MCU, one place I love to look is the DCU. After all, they are already taking on comic book roles on screen, either on our TVs or in movies.

And it’s always interesting to dive into the DC TV shows to find actors and actresses who could be a brilliant addition to the MCU. In the case of a possible Rogue casting, we can’t help but think that Oliva Rose Keegan, who portrays Duela on The CW series Gotham Knights.

For anyone unfamiliar with the series or even the comics, Duela is “the Joker’s daughter,” and depending on the comics she has been a member of the Teen Titans, the Suicide Squad, and even Titans East. Much like Robin, Duela is an acrobat. On top of her acrobatic abilities, she is also a detective and knows how to use an assortment of gadgets that we might typically associate with the Joker.

As Duela, the actress has given us both maturity and insecurity, which are things we expect to see when it comes to the character of Rogue that so many of us are familiar with from recent movies. Not only has Keegan proven that she can handle a dark and gritty storyline, but she is also showcasing her ability to embrace the world of comic book characters. While she may not be playing a traditional superhero in Gotham Knights, that’s why it seems like she would be a great choice for not only the MCU’s X-Men but also the character of Rogue in particular.

Honestly, Olivia Rose Keegan is doing an amazing job as part of the Gotham Knights, but if she were to be cast as a member of the X-Men for the MCU, it really feels like she would easily become a household name. She has what it takes to steal the show, while also being able to share the screen with any number of larger-than-life actors and actresses.
