Disney Plus just quietly dropped a new Marvel movie and no one even noticed

Typically the addition of a new Marvel movie to the Disney Plus catalog is a major deal, but no one seems to have cared about the addition of the latest MCU film.

When a new Marvel movie is added to Disney Plus, Disney tends to make a major deal about the release to get fans talking and fans quickly run with that excitement. However, that has been far from the case with the release of the latest Marvel movie to join the Disney Plus catalog.

As of June 16, The Incredible Hulk is now streaming on Disney Plus but the film’s release didn’t create much buzz at all among Marvel fans timed to its release. But we can’t put that on the fans. Rather than plugging the movie’s release well in advance, Marvel basically phoned in its promotion of the film’s arrival with most outlets not even reporting about its addition to the service until less than 24 hours before it dropped.

While disappointing, it makes sense in a way in that the film isn’t quite as beloved or iconic as the likes of the X-Men films or Sony’s Spider-Man films, which both received significant promo ahead of their release on the streaming platform.

But alas, the often-forgotten MCU original film is now available to stream alongside the rest of the MCU entries meaning fans are one step closer to being able to finally watch all of the MCU-set Marvel movies on Disney Plus.
