5 moments from DC Comics Flashpoint that should have appeared in The Flash movie

DC’s The Flash is loosely based on the DC comic book Flashpoint. In that comic book event, Barry Allen, a.k.a. The Flash, went back in time to prevent his mother’s death. This caused ripples within the DC Comics universe. Those ripples changed everything. For example, Clark Kent never becomes Superman, Captain Cold (now Citizen Cold) protects Central City, and the war between Atlantis and Themyscira destroys half of the world.

According to the trailers of the movie, Barry Allen messes with the timeline in The Flash. While the film won’t follow the comic book exactly, there are moments from Flashpoint that would have helped the movie. Unfortunately, they didn’t appear. Nevertheless, here are five Flashpoint moments that should have happened in DC’s The Flash.

5. “Just old”

During Flashpoint, Flash, Cyborg, and Batman (Thomas Wayne) team up. Barry tells them there’s a superhuman that could help save the day. He’s talking about Ka-El. As they’re en route to Superman, Batman groans. When asked what’s wrong he says, “Just old.”

This isn’t an important moment. However, it would add levity to The Flash. Batman is old and hasn’t been a vigilante in years. It would make sense that he was in pain. This line isn’t just funny. It’s something that Michael Keaton’s Batman would say. If it’s used, it will end up in the post-opening weekend commercial.
