The Walking Dead: Dead City premieres on AMC tonight, but what time can fans of the classic TWD Universe expect the spinoff to start?
It’s time for a new story in the world of The Walking Dead. The long-running zombie series bowed out on AMC last year with its reflective series finale that looked ahead almost as much as it looked back. One of the many things it accomplished was laying the groundwork for its upcoming spinoffs.
Fear The Walking Dead aside, there are three new TWD Universe shows on the horizon. One of them is The Walking Dead: Dead City, which brings back Lauren Cohan’s Maggie Greene and Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s infamous Negan, as the pair venture into the dark streets of Manhattan.
There is a lot of excitement for the show, and if you’re one of the many looking forward to its premiere, here’s when you can tune into it on AMC.
What time is The Walking Dead: Dead City season 1 episode 1 on AMC tonight? (June 18)
If you’ve been waiting patiently for The Walking Dead: Dead City to premiere on AMC, you can expect it to air on the cable network tonight, Sunday June 18 2023. For those watching on the Eastern Time zone, it will premiere at 9:00 p.m. ET, while audiences on the West Coast can anticipate its debut at 6:00 p.m. PT. Those watching on the Central Time Zone can watch at 8:00 p.m. CT.
The premiere episode is titled “Old Acquaintances” and it will focus on Maggie and Negan’s uneasy reunion as the pair are forced to team up once again to save Maggie’s son Hershel.
If you fancy more Walking Dead in your life, you’ll be glad to know that the premiere of Dead City is succeeded by the midseason finale of Fear The Walking Dead‘s eighth and final season. It had been airing in the traditional TWD 9:00 p.m. ET slot, but Dead City‘s premiere will air in that slot this week, bumping Fear to 10:00 p.m. ET.
