8. Jake Lacy

Comic book character: Donald Pierce

In Logan, Donald Pierce was a self-entitled jerk who wanted to kill mutants. He’s pretty much the same person in Marvel Comics except he wears expensive suits in the comics. The money came from his ties to the Hellfire Club (ironically, a club composed of mutants). Eventually, he leaves the Hellfire Club to ruin his body with machine enhancements and leads the Reavers.

This writer started White Lotus and couldn’t believe how awful of a person Jake Lacy played. His character (Shane Patton) fits Donald Pierce perfectly. His pompous behavior screamed someone that would hate mutants. Honestly, there isn’t a human X-Man villain he couldn’t play.

7. Regina King

Comic book character: Dakota North

You won’t find a tougher performer than Regina King. In the last few years, she’s been a hero in Watchmen (as Sister Night) and an outlaw (Trudy Smith) in The Harder They Fall. This is on top of her award-winning performances in If Beale Street Could Talk and American Crime. It may seem like a waste of her potential to play Dakota North. However, she’s the perfect person to keep someone like Daredevil in his place.

Dakota North is more than just a private investigator. She fearlessly goes above and beyond without the assistance of superpowers. Dakota has gone to different prisons to get the information she needed and didn’t back down when she was attacked and had her life threatened. There’s no way Regina King wouldn’t do this flawlessly.

This writer can’t think of a more qualified person to play someone like Dakota North. A woman who has the support of superheroes like Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage because they’ve earned it. It’ll also be believable when she has to tell someone with powers to back down when she has the situation handled. Adding to that, Regina King could have a Dakota North streaming series or film. Everyone loves detective stories and mysteries.
