4. Asuka

Comic book character: Rita Repulsa

Eventually, the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers franchise will get a reboot. When that happens, Rita Repulsa has to be cast. That role should go to WWE Superstar Asuka (real name Kanako Urai). There may have been four versions of Rita Repulsa played and two more that did her voice, but Asuka could be the most qualified.

Asuka can become any version of Rita that a project may require. While in the WWE, she’s been goofy, happy, and fun. She’s also been unstoppable. If the movie or show goes for a darker tone, Asuka can do that too. She’s able to put the smile away unless it’s to scare someone. What she’s doing now with the makeup and villainy is great. However, it’s nothing compared to her time as Kana in Japan.

Besides the acting aspect, Asuka can do her own fighting as well. It would be nice to see Rita mix it up with the Power Rangers. Especially if it looks believable. Imagine Asuka giving one of the Rangers the poison mist when they haven’t morphed. Or maybe her poison mist burns their helmet or uniforms. Either way, this could become a memorable action scene.

Plus, being a WWE star will bring in people who normally wouldn’t see a Power Rangers project. And, at the end of the day, selling tickets and getting streams is the name of the game.
