Casting 10 actors and actresses for superhero projects
By Mark Lynch
3. Mason Alexander Park
Comic book character: Eros (Starfox)
Seeing Eros at the end of Eternals was a fantastic surprise. The Eternal (and brother of Thanos) is a charismatic character. In A.X.E.: Judgment Day, Eros was more flamboyant and charismatic than he previously was. No disrespect to Harry Styles, but Mason Alexander Park’s performance in Netflix’s Sandman showed he’d be a better pick for Starfox.
Mason Alexander Park showed all of the big personality and borderline narcissism that Eros should have. When you can manipulate the way people feel happy around you, it’s understandable. Everyone loves you without question. Hopefully, they get a chance to join the MCU or DCU. They’re too talented and captivating to not play a superhero or a villain.
2. Sierra Capri
Comic book character: Squirrel Girl (Marvel Comics)
Sierra Capri’s career is still in its infancy. As of now, the 24-year-old actress doesn’t even have five IMDb acting credits to her name. Nevertheless, her role as Monse Finnie in On My Block is enough to see her potential.
The problem with casting Squirrel Girl is the actress has to look young and be old. Despite Squirrel Girl’s demeanor and jokes, she’s an adult. Sierra Capri has that look. In terms of playing her, Ms. Capri has shown a goofy side in On My Block. She’s also displayed it on her social media videos. Now it’s just a matter of seeing if she can play an action hero.
