New rumors suggest Deadpool 3 will bring more than just Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine back into the mix, with the film being dubbed the “No Way Home” for the X-Men franchise.

We might not yet know when the X-Men will be folded into the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the introduction of new characters, but it seems Disney may be about to use Deadpool 3 to bring back several familiar faces from the 20th Century Fox franchise days in a move that would be quite reminiscent of another recent crossover film.

According to Marvel insider CanWeGetSomeToast, which has a track record of scooping major Marvel and DC news, Deadpool 3 is being designed in a way that will be similar to what Sony did with Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Deadpool 3 is basically the No Way Home of the Fox X-Men universe,” they alleged. Spider-Man: No Way Home, of course, brought together various members from the three Spider-Man movie franchises including former Spider-Man actors Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as well as several key villains from the previous films.

The comparison to Spider-Man: No Way Home seems to hint that Marvel will look to bring in several familiar faces from the X-Men franchise in what could be an exciting mashup for fans of the X-Men franchise.

Deadpool 3 rumored to feature multiple X-Men cameos

Thus far, it’s been confirmed by Marvel that Hugh Jackman will be reprising his role as Wolverine in the upcoming third Deadpool movie and it appears Jackman won’t be the only former X-Men star coming back for the movie!

CanWeGetSomeToast is reporting that Halle Berry, Famke Janssen, and James Marsden will also reprise their roles as their Storm, Jean Gray, and Cyclops respectively. The account also noted that there are two additional actors who portrayed villains who are set to return including one from the Fox X-Men movies and one from the MCU who are slated to appear in the film.

While there are currently only rumors, Halle Berry did seem to support the reports when she recently took to Twitter where she was donning a white and black hairstyle reminiscent to the style she rocked while filming the X-Men movies.

It will definitely be interesting to see who all might return and in what capacity they might appear within Deadpool 3. Seeing characters from the various X-Men franchises would be a treat for fans and a fun way to help tide them over until Marvel reveals its plans for the franchise within the MCU.
