“Who can you trust?” is a question people will ask themselves throughout the first season of Secret Invasion. Every character is going to seem shady, secretive, and flat-out evil. That’s including Nick Fury himself.

It can’t be forgotten that Fury was working with the Skrulls. Their relationship didn’t end after Captain Marvel. The post-credit scene after Spider-Man: Far From Home showed Fury in space with the Skrulls. For all we know, the real Nick Fury has been dead and replaced for years. That’s the kind of mystery Secret Invasion will be. Who can you trust? The answer is simple: No one.

At first, there was a rumor that Emilia Clarke was playing S.W.O.R.D. agent Abigail Brand. However, we now know that Emilia Clarke is listed as playing G’iah. In Marvel Comics, she was in a relationship with a Skrull named Klrr – who is not listed among the cast of characters. However, that doesn’t mean he isn’t in the show. This could be Marvel Studios keeping his presence a secret. Klrr could be an important character during Secret Invasion. Although, this isn’t Marvel Comics’ Secret Invasion. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is a completely different universe. He may not exist at all.

This will be the first real mystery Marvel Studios has produced for the Disney Plus streaming service. There have been mysteries, but not an entire series. Every episode will have viewers wondering who’s who, and what is what. And just when you think you have it all figured out, there’s going to be a curveball. As cliché it sounds, trust no one.
