Clark Kent and Lois Lane will return to The CW in Superman and Lois season 4, but not every cast member will be back.

Superman and Lois season 4 is happening. The critically-acclaimed DC series was finally renewed after months of uncertainty because of The CW’s change in direction. Even with the wait, fans were thrilled that the right decision was eventually made by the evolving network.

The show is known for tackling storylines you wouldn’t often see in the comic book or superhero medium. Its third season saw Lois Lane battling cancer while trying to take down Bruno Mannheim, the head of Intergang. It set the stage for a powerful season of storytelling that was full of incredible performances. It also saw the arrival of Lex Luthor, portrayed by Michael Cudlitz.

The show’s ensemble cast is easily one of its greatest qualities. Unfortunately, there will be some major changes to the cast as it was revealed that both the cast and the budget were significantly reduced in order to get Nexstar (The CW’s new owners) to renew it for a fourth season.

With just 10 episodes and a considerably smaller cast, Superman and Lois will look very different. Here’s the current idea of what that different will look like.
